Wynn & Wynter Media Group, LLC is a two-woman creative company built for indie authors, first-time authors, and storytellers who want honest support without gatekeeping, inflated promises, or industry nonsense.

Our publishing imprint, Wynn & Wynter Independent Publishing, exists under the Wynn & Wynter Media Group umbrella. Through both, we offer practical, affordable creative support for authors who are trying to bring their stories into the world without losing their minds in the process.

 

We are not here to promise instant bestseller status, overnight success, or magical publishing shortcuts. We are here to offer guidance, creative services, and honest support from people who understand how overwhelming indie publishing can be.

Because we have been there.

Who We Are

Wynn & Wynter is led by two longtime friends with a shared love of books, writing, music, creativity, and helping other authors feel less alone in the process.

 

Amara Wynn and Clara Wynter first met while working in a bookstore more than twenty years ago, which feels fitting, if not a little suspiciously on-brand. What started as friendship grew into years of shared stories, creative projects, book recommendations, inside jokes, and a mutual understanding that the publishing world can be both magical and wildly overwhelming.

 

Now, through Wynn & Wynter Media Group, they are bringing that friendship, experience, and slightly sarcastic encouragement to indie authors who need honest support.

 

Amara Wynn is an independent author, freelance editor, musician, narrator, and podcast

host with a master’s degree in Family and Community Services. After years in the corporate

and nonprofit world, she stepped away to pursue the dream of writing and creative work

full-time. Her debut contemporary romance, More Than I Expected, was published in

December 2025. She is currently working on a YA duology and a new contemporary romance

expected in Winter 2026.

 

Amara has been writing and creating music for more than thirty years, with experience in

editing, graphic design, author support, narration, and creative development. She brings a

mix of practical indie author experience, emotional honesty, humor, and “please do not spend

money on that scammy thing” energy to every project.

Clara Wynter has her MLIS degree and brings a strong background in books,

research, organization, storytelling, and creative support. An avid reader, dog

mom, and lover of dystopian fiction, she understands the power of stories that ask

hard questions,build unforgettable worlds, and keep readers turning pages

long after they should have gone to bed.

 

She is currently working on her first novel and has experience in editing,

narration, graphic design, media kit support, and working with indie authors.

Her background in library and information science gives her a thoughtful,

detail-focused approach to story, structure, research, and reader experience.

Our goal is to help authors create work they are proud of while understanding what they are paying for, what they actually need, and what can wait. We believe indie authors deserve clear information, affordable options, and support that does not make them feel stupid for asking questions.

Our Approach

We are human-first, author-centered, and honest about what we can do.

We believe in transparency, practical guidance, and helping authors avoid expensive mistakes. We do not believe in shame-based editing, fear-based marketing, or pretending there is only one “right” way to publish a book.

Some authors want full-service support. Some only need a second set of eyes. Some need formatting help. Some need someone to gently say, “Please do not upload that cover yet.”

We can do that.

A Note About AI

We know there is a lot of conversation, concern, and general internet yelling about AI in creative spaces. We understand that completely.

For clients who are comfortable with it, we may offer AI-supported assistance for limited parts of the process, such as consistency checks, brainstorming, workflow support, typo review, or alternate phrasing suggestions.

For clients who are not comfortable using AI-supported tools, we also offer 100% human editing and publishing support.

Narration and music are always human-created and human-performed.

Our goal is to keep services accessible and affordable while respecting each author’s comfort level. Human-only services may require a longer turnaround time, but we are happy to discuss that option before beginning a project.

Either way, your work is treated with care, and final creative decisions are always made by humans.

 

Why We Do This

We started Wynn & Wynter because we know how hard it can be to step into the indie publishing world for the first time.

There are too many options, too many opinions, too many people selling overpriced promises, and not nearly enough honest support.

We want to help authors feel informed, encouraged, and capable. We want to make the process less intimidating. We want to offer services that are realistic, useful, and grounded in actual indie author experience.

We love books. We love stories. We love helping writers take the next step.

And we believe authors deserve support that is warm, honest, affordable, and just a little sarcastic when needed.

We met in a bookstore.

So really, this was probably inevitable.
